Hot on the heels of Haas and Scuderia Toro Rosso unveiling their 2019 F1 race cars, Williams has shown off the new livery that will adorn this year’s car. Unfortunately, the livery has been revealed on last year’s FW41, since Williams is not expected to release its new car until the start of pre-season testing.
For 2019, Williams Racing has secured a multi-year agreement with global telecommunications company ROKiT which sees the company become the team’s new title partner, replacing Martini which had sponsored the outfit since 2013.
With the introduction of a new sponsor, the Williams car has received an all-new livery that combines elements of light blue and weight. Martini-branded Williams from recent years were primarily painted white with the red, light blue, and royal blue logo of Martini.
“We are delighted to welcome ROKiT to our team as our title partner for the 2019 season and beyond. We share many similar values and aspirations with ROKiT; primarily putting engineering and innovation at the core of everything we do in our pursuit to be the best – the perfect platform from which to start a partnership,” Deputy Team Principal Claire Williams said.
While the Williams FW18 performed well below expectations last season, 2019 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the team thanks to the signing of two new drivers: Robert Kubica and Formula 2 World Champion George Russell.
