Automobili Pininfarina is gearing up to introduce the Battista on March 4th and now we’re learning more about what to expect.
Instead of bringing just one Battista to Geneva, Pininfarina will showcase three different versions of the electric hypercar. The first will have a Grigio Luserna exterior with Blu Iconica accents and anodized aluminum details. The company says this particular model will also have a black and tan interior.
The second model will come equipped with a styling package that includes “bonnet and wing-mirror modifications that visually link the bonnet to the windscreen via carbon fiber blades.” This model will also have front and rear wings as well as a Blu Iconica exterior which is described as “more electric” interpretation of Pininfarina’s traditional blue.
The third and final Battista will have a Bianco Sestriere paint job which is broken up by a red aluminum line which runs along the bottom of the car. This particular model will also have red brake calipers and dark chrome trim.
All three cars will ride on 21-inch wheels that are wrapped in bespoke Pirelli P Zero tires. This is due to a partnership with Pirelli and the two companies are now discussing a tire program for the “most powerful Italian sports car ever made.”
Besides the three Battistas, there will be a Battista-inspired Formula E racing car from Mahindra Racing. While the racer doesn’t look like the Battista, Pininfarina said Mahindra Racing’s involvement in Formula E has helped “fast-track the Battista’s testing and development cycle.”
Speaking of the car, it is slated to be launched late next year with an output of 1,874 hp (1,397 kW / 1,900 PS) and 1,696 lb-ft (2,300 Nm) of torque. This will enable the model to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than two seconds and 0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) in less than 12 seconds. If those figures weren’t insane enough, the Battista is also slated to have a range in excess of 280 miles (450 km).
