As a man who frequently drives world-beating hypercars and dabbles in GT3 racing at places like the Nurburgring, Top Gear’s Chris Harris could be completely uninterested in any vehicle not worth half a million bucks. However, as the video below shows, that’s not the case.

Harris was recently invited by RM Sotheby’s to check out the auction house’s ‘Youngtimers’ collection, set to cross the auction block in a few days.

The collection isn’t filled with expensive supercars but is instead an orgy of BMW M vehicles, Alpinas, AMGs, Aston Martins, Porsches and others from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. It is a dream garage for Harris.

According to him, cars from these eras are his absolute favorites. We don’t blame him, particularly with the likes of classic Alpina B7s from the ’80s and ’90s. The collection also includes a plethora of pristine BMW M cars, including a handful of original 8-Series models which still look absolutely fantastic. There’s even a pair of Aston Martin Lagondas, one of which is sitting on a tiny set of 15-inch wheels with 255/65 tires. It may look a little strange, but it’s certainly eye-catching and bound to fetch some serious bids during auction.

Other highlights of the RM Sotheby’s collection include a Mercedes-Benz SL70 AMG. For those that don’t know, the 7.0-liter V12 of the SL70 became the basis for the Pagani Zonda’s iconic powertrain. As the video progresses, you’re eyes will be blessed with the sight of various Datsun 280Zs, classic Bentleys, and… a low-mileage Renault 5 Turbo 2.

Here comes the hard part: if you could pick just one car from this collection, what would it be?
