Filled with a lot of expensive gift ideas, the annual Neiman Marcus Christmas Book includes at least one car. And in 2002, the catalogue had the LTI TXII London Taxi Burberry Edition to appeal to U.S. collectors.
Originally sold for $58,900, this special edition model is up for grabs again, this time at Bringatrailer. At the time of writing, the bid is at $25,000 and there are six days left before the online auction ends.
Registered in California in 2002, the London Taxi Burberry Edition remained with its first owner until 2017, when it was purchased by the current vendor. It’s still in California, has just a little over 2,400 miles (3,862 km) on the clock, and looks just as good now as it did nearly 17 years ago.

Finished in black, it features a roof-mounted taxi light, Burberry Equestrian Knight hood ornament and 16-inch wheels with Dunlop SP Taxi tires.
The Burberry cream leather is the highlight of the interior. The car has room for up to 5 occupants in the enclosed rear passenger compartment, who have access to a hidden wheelchair ramp, air conditioning controls and an intercom to communicate with the driver.
The left-hand drive London Taxi Burberry Edition is powered by a Ford-sourced 2.4-liter Duratorq diesel with an output of 88 horsepower (89 PS / 66 kW) and 141 lb-ft (191 Nm) of torque, channeled to the rear axle through a four-speed automatic gearbox.
The car is said to be ready to hit the road, and offered with the sale are the original owner’s manuals, documents and service records.
