The XCeed crossover won’t be Kia’s only world debut at the Geneva Motor Show; the Korean automaker will also display a new all-electric concept car, which it has just teased for the first time with a single image.

Styled “to make the heart beat that bit faster,” according to the press blurb, the as yet unnamed study is said to embody Kia’s emotional approach to electrification.

The concept car has been designed at the automaker’s European design center in Frankfurt and is a “visual embodiment of the company’s desire to move forward in the exciting world of electrification”.

In the only teaser image released so far, we can see the front end of the vehicle that features a unique light signature shaped like eyeglasses. The LED strip surrounds two horizontal LED units that are part of the headlights, with the Kia logo also illuminated.

Other design highlights include the sculpted bonnet, the broad wheel arches, and the tiny, bug antenna-like video cameras replacing the rearview mirrors.

“Automotive design is about capturing the heart and making it beat that bit faster for that bit longer – and we believe that there’s absolutely no reason why that should change simply because the car is electric,” Gregory Guillaume, Vice President of Design for Kia Motors Europe, said.

We couldn’t agree more ,but the concept also promises performance to back the aggressive looks. Guillaume also says the car will make “the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when you drive it.” Kia has definitely got us interested so stay tuned for more details as we get them.
