Remember that mid-80s cartoon called The Centurions? It was about a team of men who wore specially created exo-frames, allowing them to fuse with assault weapon systems designed for land, air or sea.
It had a pretty successful run and touched upon many relevant issues such as the relationship between man and machine, as well as the environment. Well, we can’t help but be reminded of such things while looking at this autonomous Lamborghini render.
Created by one Simon Wells, it’s meant for 18-45 year olds who are adrenaline seekers and are looking for joyrides that push the limits of what autonomous technology is capable of pulling off.
Strap yourself in
The design is very interesting. It allows the occupant to basically strap him or herself inside a Lamborghini exo-suit with wheels, and rely on cameras and a small screen to see where they’re going. You can even share the footage live to social media in a perfectly safe manner since the user has no direct control over the vehicle.
In fact, according to Wells, the only thing you could control is the route you take and the speed you wish to be going – the car, if you can call it that, will do the rest.
So what do you think? Would you rather take something like this for a spin one day, or stick to driving a good old fashioned supercar with a normal seating position?
