What could be more amazing than a Swedish hypercar that uses Norse mythology to announce its intentions for its segment? Probably not a lot of things, at least as far as the car industry is concerned.

For now, the Ragnarok nameplate hasn’t been officially announced and neither has the image you’re currently staring at, which leaked on Instagram earlier today from an unknown source. Could this be the real thing? The Agera successor we’ve all been waiting for? It certainly looks the part.

So voluptuous

Right now, we know the following: The Ragnarok, or whatever its name is, will feature a large fixed rear wing, a familiarly-designed cockpit and a massive rear diffuser. The Swedish hypercar manufacturer will sell the Agera’s successor alongside the Regera, which is more of a hyper-GT as opposed to a track-focused weapon.

The leaked image does back up at least one of those claims, the one about the large rear wing. You could also argue that the shape of the windscreen is pretty familiar too, especially when you take into account the placement of the wiper. As for styling, this isn’t all that great of an angle when it comes to cars, but the design seems very sleek, almost voluptuous.

Power will supposedly come from a modified version of the Agera’s twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 unit, albeit with a higher output, bringing the grand total to 1,440 HP. If true, then it could pretty much have the same amount of muscle as the Bugatti Chiron (1,479 HP), with presumably less weight to carry around.

Let’s hope we find out more tomorrow from the Geneva Show floor – where the “Ragnarok” has been tipped to make its official debut.

Thanks to Andy for the tip!
