Despite launching the configurator for the all-new Z4 in mid-January, BMW only gave its website visitors the option of speccing out the base, sDrive30i version. Now, prospective customers finally get to configure the range-topping sDrive M40i as well.
Pricing for the 2020 BMW Z4 sDrive M40i starts at $63,700, a significant premium over the $49,700 sDrive30i. There are six colors available for the new M40i, named Alpine White, Black Sapphire Metallic, Glacier Silver Metallic, Misano Blue Metallic, San Francisco Red Metallic, and Frozen Grey II Metallic, while customers can also select between the standard black roof and the Moonlight Black soft top which has a greyish tinge to it.
They also get to choose between three three different wheel designs that are offered in four unique finishes, although opting for anything other than the standard 18-inch ones means parting ways with an extra $600.
Moving to the cabin, potential buyers will be pleased to know that there are a number of configurations available, the most eye-catching of which features Magma Red leather across the seats and door panels as well as aluminum and gloss black trim.
BMW is also offering the Driving Assistance Package for $500, the Premium Package for $1,400 and the Executive Package for $2500. The latterincorporates adaptive LED lights, ambient lighting, Vernasca leather upholstery and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with five tweeters, five mid-range speakers, and two central bass speakers under the front seats.
Powering the Z4 sDrive M40i is a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with 382 hp and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque in U.S.-spec, as M40i models in other markets, including Europe, make do with 335 hp.
