Hyundai’s ‘A Matchday in Europe’ commercial features the Nexo crossover, as well as some of the world’s best soccer players, like Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Olivier Giroud and Willian, Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann and Roma’s Edin Dzeko.

Also featured are Lyon’s Memphis Depay, Nabil Fekir, Anthony Lopez, Tanguy Ndombele and Bertrand Traore, Salomon Kalou, Marvin Plattenhardt and Davie Selke of Hertha BSC, plus Javier Pastore, Cengiz Under and Bryan Cristante, all three with AS Roma.

In total, there are 18 players featured in the video, which celebrates how big of a role fans play when it comes to soccer clubs. The action follows a group of supporters from each of Hyundai’s partner clubs, namely Chelsea FC, AS Roma, Atletico de Madrid, Hertha BSC and Olympique Lyonnais.

“Personally, when I go onto the pitch I play for the fans. As players we are lucky to have the Chelsea fans because they travel everywhere and always show great support,” said Eden Hazard.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor UK marketing director David Pugh added that his employer wants to put the fans first when it comes to Chelsea, which is how the idea for the video was born.

“What better way to demonstrate that than with some of Europe’s biggest stars assisting them [the fans] on matchday?”

“Through our partnership with Chelsea, we’re committed to creating a range of innovative initiatives that enhance fans’ matchday experience, bring ease to their mobility and make football more accessible and enjoyable for them.”
