A bitcoin investor in the UK crashed his prized purple Lamborghini Huracan Performance in London last Friday.
ABC News reports that Bitstocks founder and chief executive Michael Hudson lost control of the Italian supercar as he was driving along a single lane road. He claims to have skidded across an area of standing water before the supercar slid into a ditch on the side of the road and got stuck.
Hudson is a friend of noted British car customizer Yianni Charalambous, who arrived on the scene to help tow the Huracan out of its precarious position.
According to Charalambous, Hudson had not been drinking before the crash and somehow managed to stay remarkably calm despite the damage sustained to his Italian exotic.
“He just slipped on some water and swerved to avoid a lamp post. It was better to hit the ditch than the lamp post.
“He wasn’t hurt and no other cars were involved. He was the only one in the car and had to climb across the seats to get out. He lives nearby so he just walked home,” Charalambous said.
Taking to Instagram, Hudson said it was a bad day.
“I’ve educated myself to view all situations with calm, peace and balance. Damage isn’t too bad and I’m sure she will be back on the road soon enough.”
It’s difficult to ascertain the extent of the damage based on the images published online. However, from what we can see, the carbon fiber rear diffuser has been torn to shreds and the tailpipes have also been damaged and bent. It’s likely that the undertray of the vehicle also took a beating as it speared off the road, while a fresh lick of paint will also be needed.
Hudson’s Huracan Performante is one of just a handful finished in the same shade of purple as the iconic Diablo SE30, but we have no doubt Lamborghini will be able to make it look brand new.
