A Lamborghini Huracan Performante pulled a Mustang while leaving a car meet organized by UK luxury car dealer HR Owen over the weekend in London.

The Italian supercar’s owner presumably wanted to put on a show, so despite being on a narrow roads with cars parked on one side, he took off with the right pedal to the metal and the V10 screaming its lungs out.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned and the Huracan ended up crashing into a tree. Everything happened in front of the camera and, luckily, nobody was injured, despite the car hitting that tree on the driver’s side.

As for the Huracan, it sustained some serious damages and it’s going to need a lot of work to be brought back to life, if the insurers don’t deem it a write-off. Also, if the insurance won’t cover the expenses, it will burn a deep hole in the owner’s pockets, since this is even more expensive than the regular Huracan due to the aero and other modifications made to ensure it’s the most hardcore variant yet.

The reminded us of another accident recorded last year, in which a BMW M4 Cabrio went off-roading while leaving another car meet (see, it’s not only Mustangs after all – Ed’s note). After being bruised, it was temporarily fixed with duct tape by the overenthusiastic driver. That’s not possible in this case, though, as the Huracan might look perfectly fine from the left, but its right side is all seriously mangled up.

Come to think of it, now that we’ve watched the video again and again, that’s 99 percent a write-off. Which means one less Performante is going to roam the streets.
