Lynk & Co has completed another round of testing with the 03 Cyan Concept, the road-legal version of their new touring car racer.

To mark the occasion, the company has released a short video showing it during testing in Spain.

The 03 Cyan Concept has been developed alongside the racing version that will compete in the 2019 WTCR chjampionship. Described as the “interpretation of a race car for the road”, it utilizes a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that develops a whopping 528 PS (521 hp / 388 kW) at 7,800 rpm and 504 Nm (372 lb-ft) of torque between 4,500 and 7,000 rpm.

The unit is matched with a six-speed sequential transmission that channels the output to the front wheels via a multi-plate limited slip differential. The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint takes 4.4 seconds and the 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) one only 10 seconds, while top speed is a very impressive a 310 km/h (193 mph).

“What you aim for when developing a race engine does not differ much from when developing an engine for a performance road car”, said Cyan Racing’s head of engine development, Mattias Evensson. “You do not only want the engine to deliver a lot of power, but also combining the power with a high level of driveability.”

For the next round of testing, Lynk & Co’s 03 Cyan Concept will join the race team “at the most legendary circuit in the world”. Which, we presume, should be the Nurburgring.
