Roush’s Super Duty performance upgrades for the Ford F-250 and F-350 pickup trucks have been unveiled, carrying the tuner’s 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty.
You can get the upgrade regardless of whether you own a Heavy Duty F-Series equipped with the 6.2-liter Flex Fuel V8 petrol or the 6.7-liter PowerStroke Turbo Diesel V8. The former is good for 385 HP and 430 lb-ft (583 Nm) of torque, whereas the latter puts down 450 HP and 935 lb-ft (1,267 Nm) of torque.
However, the diesel also come with a high-performance Roush DPF-Back Exhaust System, which is said to improve exhaust flow and features dual custom 5-inch tips for some extra visual aggressiveness. Other mechanical improvements include the advanced Roush/Fox 2.0 Performance Series Suspension System with upgraded front and rear shocks and a leveling kit.
Buyers also benefit from 20-inch custom off-road wheels with two options of colored trim rings for bead protection. As for tires, you get high-performance BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 rubber, ideal for tackling rough terrain.
“The 2019 Roush Super Duty is our toughest, heaviest-duty truck,” said Jack Roush Jr. “We’ve designed this vehicle to work hard and play harder with unmatched Roush performance and style – whether you need to haul heavy loads of equipment, blaze a trail off-road, or tow your boat to the lake for the weekend.”
As for aesthetic and utility upgrades, the 2019 Roush Super Duty adds a signature Roush front grille with accent lighting, body-color fender flares with accent lighting, square ‘R’ hitch cover and a front bumper cover compatible with the truck’s active cruise control.
The tuner can also improve on Ford’s new Lariat Sport trim package, which boasts black fender badges, halogen headlights with blackout surrounds and body-color bumpers – hence the multiple available graphics packages.
Last, but not least, the cabin features custom Roush headrest embroidery, a unique serialized console badge, custom floor liners by WeatherTech and a custom gauge cluster on diesel versions.
Pricing for Roush’s Super Duty upgrade starts at $15,685 over factory MSRP, with features like the off-road utility kit or the Console Vault costing extra.
