Can’t, or just don’t need, the range-topping Octavia vRS? Look no further than the SportLine models. Launched by Skoda in the United Kingdom, they are already on sale and can be specified in the hatchback and estate body styles, come with a few visual updates and a choice of two engines.
For the Octavia SportLine sedan with a 1.5-liter TSI petrol four rated at 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) matched to a standard six-speed manual transmission (optional DSG available), the company’s asking £23,870 ($31,516/€27,882), whereas the estate, powered by the 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) 2.0-liter TDI diesel that’s coupled to a seven-speed DSG gearbox, starts from £27,860 ($36,784/€32,543).

Enhancing the appeal of the SportLine models compared to the regular versions of the Octavia are the glossy black front apron, grille, side mirror caps and rear diffuser insert. The cars also feature a glossy black rear spoiler and 18-inch Vega alloy wheels with black look and silver details, as well as LED headlights with adaptive front light system and LED DRLs.
Sports seats and upholstery, ta hree-spoke, leather-wrapped, multi-function steering wheel and black headlining adorn the cabin. Building on the SE spec, the SportlLne adds a bunch of extras like the Amundsen satellite navigation system with an 8-inch touchscreen display, integrated Wi-Fi, Infotainment Online with a one-year subscription, Light Assistant and rain-sensing wipers.
