Million-dollar sports cars, supercars, and hypercars often remain confined to pristine garages or to beautifully smooth roads and in perfect weather conditions. However, a new car event held in Switzerland over last weekend for the first time encourages owners to drive their prized vehicles on snow and ice.

The event is dubbed ‘The I.C.E. – The International Concours of Elegance St. Moritz’. It included a static display, where some near-priceless vehicles were displayed on the snow, while owners also had the opportunity to take their vehicles for a spin around a snow-covered track near the event.

It’s true that a number of manufacturers offer their own winter driving experience program – but, unlike I.C.E., the cars used are not privately owned.

To say this event is unlike anything we’ve ever seen would be an understatement. From a Lamborghini Countach drifting its way around the paddock to a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing driving around a snow track, it seemed to have it all.

Fans of modern-day exotics were treated to an amazing display of vehicles sure to be included in any car enthusiast’s list. Among them were the one-off Pagani Huayra Pearl, once wrecked in a 2016 crash, and one of just three Huayra Dinastia models ever produced.

Other cars which turned heads were a Ferrari F40, an F50, a maroon Lamborghini Miura SVJ, a handful of rally-spec Lancias, and even a Ferrari 488 GT3 racing car. Some of these vehicles are worth well over a million dollars, but their owners were brave enough to take them out onto the snow to have a little bit of fun.
