Total global production of the BMW M850i xDrive First Edition Coupe will be limited to 400 units, and only eight of these will land in Australia in July.
Each of the 400 units is painted in BMW Individual Frozen Barcelona Blue metallic paint and sit on a set of Jet Black 20-inch BMW M light alloy wheels.
The M Carbon Exterior Package, which is a cost option on the regular M850i, also comes as standard. This pack includes carbon fiber front air intake inserts, exterior mirror caps, a rear trunklid spoiler, diffuser and tailpipe surrounds.
The car’s sporty theme continues in the cabin, where there is an M Sport steering wheel finished in BMW Individual Night Blue leather trim. There is also Piano Black interior trim and an exclusive ‘First Edition 1/400’ signet on the center console, as well as BMW Individual Full Leather Merino upholstery in Bicolor Ivory White and Night Blue.
The headliner is also finished in Night Blue Alcantara and all First Edition Coupe models come with a 16-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System with 1400 watts and a 10-channel active amplifier.
The limited edition features the same powertrain as the normal M850i xDrive, namely a twin-turbo, 4.4-liter V8 delivering 523 hp (390 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the M850i xDrive to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds.
Prices for the exclusive grand tourer in Australia start at $295,900 ($212,190), excluding on-road charges.
