Prices for DC2-generation Acura/Honda Integra Type Rs are on the rise and one particularly pristine example was recently listed up for sale on eBay near Montreal, Canada.
This Integra Type R is unique because for the last decade, it was stored in a sealed-off section of the owner’s barn. The only way the owner could retrieve the car was to unscrew a number of wooden planks protecting the Japanese sports car from the outside world. The owner apparently kept the car hidden because he didn’t want anyone to see or play with it. Fair enough.
This Type R is a 2001 model and painted in the extremely desirable Championship White and comes complete with red seats, apparently making it one of just 250 examples in Canada like this. According to the owner, he’s previously had someone offer $7,500 to buy the seats and only the seats.

The listing asserts that the car only has a single scratch and comes with all its stock parts. It has been fitted with an AEM cold air intake which helps to make the sound of VTEC that much more intoxicating. Also found within the car is an aftermarket alarm. There are new tires fitted too.
As for the all-important mileage, it currently sits at 82,000 miles (132,000 km). Compared to a similar Acura Integra Type R which sold for $63,800 with 1200 miles on its clock last year, 82,000 miles seems like a lot. However, Hondas from this era are known as being bulletproof so you can be assured that there’s still lots of life left in this example.
The car has a ‘Buy It Now’ asking price of $39,999 CAD or just under $30,000 in the U.S.
