The McLaren 600LT is a very striking piece of automotive design and this example, recently delivered to McLaren San Francisco, might be the best we’ve laid eyes on.
The first element of this 600LT which stands out is the stunning paint job. Dubbed Vega Blue, this color looks absolutely gorgeous with the flowing lines of the hardcore Sports Series model. McLaren’s press pictures of the Coupe, as well as the Spider, showed the vehicles in colors such as green, orange, and purple, but we dare say this one looks better.
Offsetting the blue paint are a number of carbon fiber parts. For example, the front splitter is made exclusively from the lightweight material, as are the side skirts. At the rear, much of the bumper, diffuser, and headlight surrounds are also finished in carbon fiber. The large rear wing is also carbon, but painted grey.
Some other cool aspects this 600LT are the carbon fiber louvers in the front wheel arches and a large carbon fiber roof scoop from McLaren Special Operations. Inside, you’ll find the lightweight seats from the Senna as well as bright orange contrast stitching and seat belts.
Journalists and owners have praised the 600LT since it premiered last year. Powering the hardcore supercar is a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 pumping out 592 hp. The LT weighs 96 kg (211 lbs) less than the 570S on which it is based and can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds, as well as a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h).
