Is it just us or is the C7-generation Chevrolet Corvette becoming better looking with age?

The seventh generation has been around since the 2014 model year, yet its angular and aggressive styling doesn’t look dated. In fact, the exterior design makes the current Corvette turn just as many heads as a Ferrari worth three times as much. This particular Z06 is no exception.

Strasse Wheels recently got its hands on this C7 and fitted it with a set of black five-spoke wheels measuring 19×10-inch at the front and 20×12-inch at the rear. These wheels suit the character of the ‘Vette perfectly as the Torch Red exterior paint has been contrasted by a gloss black roof and a black section on the hood. A number of carbon fiber accents, including the side skirts and front splitter, complete the look.

Chevrolet is charging ahead with development of the mid-engined C8 Corvette, but by no means is the existing one is outdated. Quite the opposite. For example, the Z06’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8 pumps out an extraordinary 650 hp, making it very desirable. What’s more, generous discounts are currently being offered, so right now might be a good time to pull the trigger if you’re considering one.

In late February, it was revealed that Chevrolet had a 232-day supply of new Corvettes on their lots across the United States. Last week, the company also started offering a $3,000 loyalty discount on all 2019 models, which means a Corvette Stingray 1LT can be purchased for as little as $52,900. Not a bad deal at all.
