What started life as a very exciting red Lamborghini Aventador SV has been turned into a vulgar head-turning piece of jewelry.

That’s not a figure of speech, either: the car has been covered in roughly 2 million Swarovski crystals, an excruciating process that required many steady hands and lots of man hours to complete.

Spotted in London a few days ago, it attracted quite a crowd from the moment it was unloaded from the truck until it drove away. The Italian supercar is owned by Daria Radionova. The young Russian woman is an entrepreneur with a fine taste in cars. The thing is, she tends to overdo them, as this isn’t the first time one of her rides is covered in countless Swarovski crystals.

Some of Radionova’s former rides that have received the Swarovski treatment over the years were a Lamborghini Huracan and a previous-gen Mercedes-Benz CLS. The first one is said to be wearing 1.3 million crystals, whereas the executive four-door coupe about 1 million. It’s hard to imagine washing them – heck, even dust particles will probably give the person responsible for keeping the car clean a headache.

As for this Aventador SV, it’s said to be the “world’s first car to be covered in 2 million crystals”. The claim was made by CarsInCloaks, a London-based automotive customizer and the company behind this very bold project, which is more than satisfied with the way it came out.
