While it may not be the worst thing in the world for the Chevrolet Camaro to have a sister model like in the days of the Pontiac Firebird, any such car would definitely need to have its own unique personality when compared to the Chevy.
But if we look at this as an Escalade-Tahoe-Yukon type of deal, then it’s plausible to consider just adding new front and rear fascias, although the GMC badge is quite unrealistic. Maybe Buick? OK, but let’s not take this seriously…
What’s a GMC Coupe?
According to designer Aksyonov Nikita, it’s a Camaro with a GMC truck face, although it doesn’t actually look copy-pasted from any current GMC product. All we can say is that it’s way too truck-like and quite vertical in appearance, reminding us of the Sierra.

The rear end, thankfully, is a little more visually appeasing, and kind of resembles the rear of Volvo’s Polestar 1 coupe, mostly because of the overall shape of the taillights. The renderings show both a Coupe and a Convertible model, although neither of the two is any less ridiculous than the other.
In the end, we’re pretty sure GM could re-badge the Camaro as something else and make it look good in the process – if they actually wanted to. But as a GMC? Never. Besides, doing so might negatively impact the Camaro brand, which needs all the “juice” it can muster in its fight against Ford’s iconic Mustang and the Dodge Challenger.
