Few engines have ever generated as much consistent buzz as the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 mill dubbed ‘Hellcat’ from FCA.
It has been more than four years since the Hellcat engine was first introduced in the Challenger SRT Hellcat and Charger SRT Hellcat models, while Ram is busy readying a Hellcat-powered version of the Rebel pickup truck too. However, one enthusiast in the United States has beaten the company to the punch and created his very own Rebel Hellcat.

The crazed pickup truck in question was built by America’s Most Wanted 4×4 in Michigan and it took a little more work than simply dropping in the Hellcat engine and calling it a day. In fact, the entire vehicle cab had to be lifted off its frame before the huge V8 could be fitted without removing its massive supercharger. To ensure the cabin then fit correctly back in place, the electrical system needed to be modified, the fuel and cooling systems were upgraded, and the oil filter was relocated.
Rather than calling it a day with the engine fitted, the crew behind this Rebel fitted a set of carbon fiber fenders and a set of 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires on Method 701 Trail Series wheels. The finished pickup is capable of some pretty serious burnouts and sounds absolutely intoxicating.
FCA confirmed that it is working on a Hellcat-powered Rebel dubbed the TRX in the middle of last year. The hardcore pickup will be marketed as a rival to the Ford F-150 Raptor and promises to take performance-focused pickups to new heights.
