Ken Block may be best known for his wild driving antics onboard some crazy cars, but during the winter and spring, he also likes to get his kicks on all kinds of vehicles.
For his latest adventure, the rally driver headed to a ski resort in Lake Tahoe and brought along his Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS Turbo. Unlike most other Can-Ams, Block’s example has been fitted with a set of tracks and is capable of some pretty amazing things.
Block was given the go-ahead to let loose at a snow park filled with wild jumps designed for skiers and snowboards, but as it turned out, it was also well-suited to an off-roader like the Maverick. Driving a rally car through a difficult forest stage would definitely be fun, but we think it could be even more enjoyable to hoon around on snow in something like this.

Buying a side-by-side like the one Block owns isn’t cheap and can run you in excess of $25,000. We imagine that the fitment of tracks to this particular one increased its price significantly, probably to well over the $30,000 mark. Then comes the issue of transport.
You can’t drive a side-by-side on tracks on public roads so Block has had a Ford F-450 modified so he can simply drive the Maverick up a pair of ramps and park it on the roof of the Ford. It would probably be a lot cheaper to just put the side-by-side on a trailer and tow it behind the Ford but that wouldn’t look as cool would it?
