The latest episode of David Letterman’s My Guest Needs No Introduction show on Netflix is set to star Formula 1 ace Lewis Hamilton and is been previewed in the following video.
This trailer shows the duo driving a Mercedes-AMG E63 S Estate around the Silverstone circuit in the UK. Letterman is the first to have a go behind the super estate and, unsurprisingly, has some difficulties getting the most out of the car’s extreme abilities.
When Hamilton gets behind the wheel, though, things turn up a notch (or 10) as the five-time Formula 1 World Champion easily and consistently drives the E63 S at its limits. He even does a bit of “gardening”, as Letterman calls it, crossing over the curb and into the grass while taking the fastest line around a right-hand bend at the circuit.

The Mercedes-AMG E63 S may look like a relatively tame compared to other high performance cars, especially in Estate guise, but it is an absolute animal. Sitting beneath the huge hood is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 pumping out 604 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque, which coupled to an advanced all-wheel drive system and launch control, enables it to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in roughly 3.4 seconds.
Letterman’s interview, and driving show, with Hamilton will air on Netflix on May 31.
