During our review of the 2020 Kia Telluride, we stayed at the Gateway Canyons Resort and checked out the onsite Gateway Auto Museum.
The sprawling facility is located in the middle of nowhere, but it can be yours for just $279 (£220 / £248) million.
According to the Sotheby’s listing, the sale includes the West Creek Ranch which is billed as a “spectacularly diverse private retreat property boasting one of the finest residences in the world.” The main house is a whopping 22,000 square feet and features a five-car garage as well as approximately 3,500 square feet of covered verandas.
The four-story house also has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, an elevator, an art studio, a gym and staff quarters. Other niceties include four water fountains, six fireplaces and a helipad. The house also comes fully furnished.
If you need more room for guests, you’ll have plenty at your disposal as the Gateway Canyons Resort has 72 luxurious rooms. Since the resort is so remote, it also features several dining options including the Paradox Grille and Kiva Café.

While the Gateway Canyons Resort has its own car museum, Car & Driver reports only two cars are included in the sale price. They are a 1906 Cadillac and a 1929 Duesenberg. Not exactly nothing but, when we visited, the museum housed approximately 50-60 vehicles including the 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 concept.

The resort was built by Discovery Channel founder John Hendricks and covers 8,700 acres. It also offers amazing views as it is surrounded by the Uncompahgre Plateau, Piñon Mesa and La Sal Mountain.
While the price is probably out of the reach of most people, it’s not very often that you can buy your own car museum.
