Last year’s deadly wildfires in California killed more than 100 people and destroyed thousands of residences – but, in the midst of it all, remarkable stories of survival and heroism emerged.
None were more publicized than the heroic actions of Adventist Health nurse Allyn Pierce who drove his Toyota Tundra through the flames saving people’s lives. His pickup truck was scorched by the fire and an Instagram post showing the truck quickly gained traction, catching the eye of Toyota USA.
Eager to help out, Toyota delivered a new Tundra TRD to him towards the end of November. Now, Pierce’s new whip has undergone a series of modifications thanks to Rockstar Garage.
As an homage to the scorched Tundra which Pierce used during the wildfires, Rockstar Garage has sprayed the sides of the truck with a bed liner material to simulate the appearance of the vehicle’s melted paint. It’s a fitting way to make this Tundra, lovingly known as Pandra, stand out from all others while also remembering Pierce’s old ride.
The truck has also undergone a series of other modifications since being delivered last year. For example, a set of larger off-road wheels and tires have been fitted, the suspension has been raised, there is a new bumper at the front, aggressive roof racks, clear taillights, and an overhauled rear fascia which includes a CO2 tank to help inflate the tires.
