The new James Bond film is set to feature a classic Aston Martin V8 Vantage, as footage from the set has revealed.
In March, it was reported that Bond 25 would likely feature an Aston Martin Rapide E because director Cary Joji Fukunaga is a “total tree-hugger.” While it remains to be seen if the 25th installment in the Bond franchise will include the electric saloon, we do have confirmation that a classic V8 will be featured.
This video was captured along the picturesque Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway where the movie is currently being filmed. It shows the classic Aston crossing a pair of the iconic bridges which make up the beautiful road. Daniel Craig (or maybe one of his doubles…) was presumably behind the wheel during filming.

MI6 HQ reports that the classic Aston was last used in 1987’s ‘The Living Daylights’ starring Timothy Dalton as 007 – and both cars bear the same B549 WUU license plate.
It is reported that the movie has faced numerous headaches in recent months and, earlier this week, filming along the Atlantic Ocean Road was in doubt after a large BMW event was held there and black tire marks were left on the tarmac. Attempts were made to clean up the mess but they were unsuccessful, forcing the film crew to start shooting regardless (guess they’ll fix it in post-production anyway…).
The most recent Bond film, 2015’s Spectre, starred the Aston Martin DB10, a car produced exclusively for the film and limited to just 10 units.
