The world of high-end supercars is about to become richer with the addition of the Mercedes-AMG One. Previously known as the Project One, it’s expected to start arriving in the hands of customers in the coming months.
If you’ve missed your chance to buy one, due to the 275-unit limited production that maintains exclusivity, don’t worry, because we just found a build slot you may want to check out.
It’s listed on Mobile by an Austrian used car dealer that sells only high-end exotics. The vendor is asking €3,490,000 ($3,927,910) for it and claims that it will be shipped right in time for this year’s Winter Holidays.
You’re going to want to do some digging of your own before transferring any funds, but if everything checks out, then you’ll have the One hypercar in a silver exterior over a black interior with lots of Alcantara. It’s said to feature everything from adaptive headlights to Bluetooth connectivity, but the dealer will gladly answer any questions upon contacting them.
The Formula 1-derived 1.6-liter, turbocharged V6 and four electric motors kick out a combined 1,035 PS (1,020 hp / 761 kW). The average fuel consumption is said to be 13 lt/100 km (21.7 mpg UK / 18.1 mpg US); previous information has revealed that the One will sprint from 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in less than six seconds, while top speed will be in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).
For such a rare model (or because of it?), the AMG One has become quite popular among car flippers. Last year we saw another build slot listed by a German car dealer at €4.5 million ($5+ million). It’s very likely that the news has reached Mercedes, who will probably (or has already) seek(ed) compensation, as it’s trying to phase out flippers who are in only for quick million or two and sell their hypercar only to enthusiasts. Whether it will succeed, and to what extent, remains to be seen…
