With the aid of an electric compressor powered by a 48V MHEV system, the S6 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds, quicker than its diesel-powered Euro counterpart,eliminating turbo lag as well.

Other performance features include the eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox, standard quattro all-wheel drive and the available quattro sport differential. You can also pay extra for the S sport package which adds dynamic all-wheel steering – which you can then combine with the available sports suspension with adaptive dampers.

On the outside, the S6 gets S-specific bumpers, a platinum double-slat Singleframe grille, aluminum mirror casings, alu-optic front splitter, four S-specific tailpipes, matte black chrome rear diffuser inlay and 20-inch 5-arm design wheels as standard (21-inch ones available at a cost).

Customers who demand even more can get the black optic package which adds a black exterior kit with black exterior mirror casings and 21-inch Anthracite 5V-spoke star wheels.

As for the interior, there’s the 3-spoke multi-function heated steering wheel, Valcona leather S sports seats with diamond stitching, and stainless steel door sills with illuminated S logo, all standard.

The 2020 Audi S6 is priced from $73,900 in Premium Plus spec, while the Prestige version costs upwards of $77,800.
