Following the LC Inspiration and LX Inspiration limited edition models, Lexus has launched a similar version of its flagship saloon.
The first sedan to get this exclusive makeover, the LS 500 Inspiration Series brings a unique exterior and interior color combination as well as more exclusivity, since it’s limited to 300 units in the United States.
The model’s most distinctive feature is, obviously, the Deep Garnet exterior color, used for the first time on the LS 500. Lexus describes the paint as a “deep, metallic shade of red that shimmers in the direct sun yet has a deep, lustrous tone in the shade.”

The color is beautifully complemented by standard 20-inch wheels finished in Black Vapor Chrome. Like the Deep Garnet paint, Lexus says the rims glimmer in the sun yet retain a polished, subdued look in the shade. The exclusive treatment continues inside with a glamorous cabin featuring standard White leather on the seats, center console and door panels, Kiriko glass trim on the door panels, blue LED dash lighting, and “Lexus” puddle lamps at each door.
The semi-aniline leather uses a dyeing process that gives it a bright white color providing a stark contrast to the black dashboard, steering wheel, and carpet. As for the Kiriko glass, it offers an interesting transition between light and dark — more specifically, between the smooth white door trim and the dark Mark Levinson speaker grills.
As with all 2020 Lexus LS 500 models, the Inspiration Series features a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine rated at 416 hp (422 PS) and 442 lb-ft (599 Nm) of torque. This allows the luxury sedan to cover the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 4.6 seconds when equipped with the available AWD system featuring a Torsen limited-slip center differential.
he Lexus LS 500 Inspiration Series goes on sale this fall, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.
