Dacia unveiled a limited edition Duster at its 11th Big Dacia Picnic at the Chaalis Abbey near Paris. The new version is called Black Collector and it will launch exclusively in France in September.
Only 500 numbered examples will be made, all based on the Prestige trim level with the 4×2 1.3 TCe 130 petrol engine. Additional gear include a metallic black paint, exclusive strips, protective mats and a Focal audio system inside.
Buyers will also enjoy a hands-free card, multi-view camera and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The previously-mentioned numbered plaque will be positioned on the door sill so as to underline the model’s exclusive nature.
At a brand first, reservations for this limited edition will only be taken online, which means that potential buyers living in France should bookmark this website and revisit it in September.

Visually, the crossover gives off a slightly sporty vibe thanks to the decals and exterior color scheme, so it should definitely stand out from lesser versions. As for the interior, since it’s based on the Prestige spec, drivers and passengers will enjoy plenty of standard features.
Participants at the event also got the chance to go on a treasure hunt and test drive the latest Duster 4×4, while also witnessing an on-stage show by the “Dacia Talents”, as well as French singer Jenifer.
The Big Dacia Picnic has become somewhat of an annual highlight over the last ten years, drawing in some 10,000 members of the Dacia community.
