Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw will hit cinemas on August 2 and, prior to its release, a third and final trailer has been published.
Just like the first two, this one reveals that the first spin-off in the Fast and the Furious franchise will be action-packed and filled with crazy performance vehicles, including a McLaren 720S.
One of the first scenes from the film shows Hobbs, Shaw, and Hattie Shaw, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Vanessa Kirby, in the cabin of a 720S trying to evade antagonist Brixton, played by Idris Elba, on a motorcycle. The sequence shows the British supercar drifting under a pair of trucks while the motorbike of Brixton transforms, allowing him to also slide under the trucks.

There are a number of other wild stunts featured throughout the trailer, including custom-made armored trucks jumping out of windows and Hobbs doing a 360-degree spin in a matte black truck. Like many of the more recent Fast & Furious films (or 99.9 percent of action movies for that matter), Hobbs & Shaw depicts stunts which would clearly be impossible to perform in the real world.
All in all, the film looks to be high-paced and, like virtually every movie Johnson stars in nowadays, will probably do quite well at the box office. Will it be enough to win over die-hard Fast & Furious fans still mourning the franchise’s departure from cars and street racing and towards more action and crime? We’ll find out next month.
