Hyundai has released a single teaser image of a mystery new model it is preparing to introduce in European markets.
The image, shared online by the South Korean’s automaker’s European press department, previews the C-pillar of the car and offers a glimpse of the taillight. We can also see an eye-catching side window and a door line which swoops up towards the roof and then flows down the rear fascia to the taillight.
In the brief press release detailing the new vehicle, Hyundai says “the newcomer will offer customers new exterior and interior design, as well as new connectivity and safety features which will make it a leader in its class.”

Other than these details, nothing else is known about the new Hyundai but, based on its shape, we’re inclined to suggest that it is a small crossover.
Those familiar with the Hyundai family will know that the company only unveiled its new entry-level crossover, the Venue, earlier this year. However, that vehicle won’t be sold in Europe, so it is possible that the vehicle teased will be its European equivalent, complete with a bespoke design.
Hyundai promises to release more information about its new European-bound vehicle in the coming weeks prior to its global premiere at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
We have reached out to Hyundai to see if we can get any more details about the car but don’t expect to hear back. If you have any idea of what Hyundai is cooking up, let us know in the comments below!
