Jaguar Land Rover will be presenting a range of new models during this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed event, among them a camouflaged prototype of the all-new Defender.
Other attending models include the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic, the Jaguar SV XE Project 8 Touring Pack, the F-Type SVR, an F-Type Rally Car and even the all-electric Jaguar eTROPHY I-PACE race car, which will be silently storming up the hill.
As for the XE Project 8 Touring Pack and the Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic, they will be featured in the First Glance batch. Meanwhile, rally driver Jade Paveley will be the one pushing the one-off F-Type rally car to its limits throughout the weekend.
“Annually, Goodwood Festival of Speed is our largest event, and we have pulled the stops out this year to bring our award-winning Jaguars and Land Rovers to both our stand and the hill,” said JLR UK managing director, Rawdon Glover. “We have created an inviting space for customers to come and spend some time with the team and we remain one of the only stands to offer in-car experiences which have proved incredibly popular with festival goers.”
“I myself am particularly excited about seeing the new Defender testing on the hill, and I know our customers will love the thrill of a passenger ride in our Jaguar F-Type on our handling circuit or a Land Rover on the off-road course.”

Of course, if it’s the all-new Defender you’re interested in the most, know that we already have a pretty good idea of what it looks like, both outside and in.
Thanks to our spy photographers, we saw that its cabin will feature a digital gauge cluster as well as a reasonably-sized infotainment display which we assume is a touchscreen.
Land Rover is expected to unveil its latest Defender at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
