Whether it’s a light shunt or a harsh impact, there’s no way you’re getting off cheap with having to fix an Italian exotic like a Lamborghini Huracan, least of all the relatively new Performante Spyder model.
Such is a lesson undoubtedly learned by the driver of this purple Lambo, who decided to make a left turn at an intersection where you’re not allowed to do so. The crash took place earlier this week in Riga, Latvia, and also involved what appears to be a first-gen Volvo XC60 crossover.
Thanks to an eagle-eyed commentator, we managed to find the intersection on Google Maps and lo and behold, there’s a massive sign indicating that you can only drive forward prior to the intersection. The driver of the Huracan either didn’t see it, didn’t care, or was perhaps pressured into making a sudden left turn by the passenger.

If for some reason you’re still unaware of just how special of a car the Huracan Performante Spyder is, we’ll happily remind you that its naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine puts down 631 HP (640 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque with the help of a permanent all-wheel drive system and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
It also happens to be 77 lbs (35 kg) lighter than a regular LP610-4 Spyder, which means it can accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.1 seconds.
As for pricing, this car will cost you over $300,000, and that’s before you put any dents in it.
