A man in Vancouver has been arrested after jumping into a random Corvette Stingray in a parking lot and refusing to get out!
The Vancouver Sun reports that the owner of the white Corvette called the Vancouver police at about 6 p.m. on Sunday.
He informed them that when he returned to his car in a parking lot, he was shocked to find a man had climbed inside through the open roof and was sitting in the driver’s seat. Adding insult to injury, he refused to leave when he was asked to.

Shortly afterwards, officers arrived on the scene with their firearms drawn. Curiously, the man still refused to leave the driver’s seat of the Corvette, claiming that it was his car. Police weren’t too impressed with his reluctance to leave and shot him in the leg with a bean bag. The 36-year-old was then forcefully removed from the car.
Local media says that the man was treated for minor injuries despite strongly objecting to that.
According to Sgt. Jason Robillard, the authorities will pursue charges of criminal mischief. An image from the scene shows that dozens of people gathered nearby to see what was happening and thankfully, the situation was contained without any violence and limited fuss – why, the ‘Vette wasn’t even damaged at the slightest.
The owner of the Corvette was inevitably very happy to see the random man get pulled from his car. Perhaps next time, he won’t park the car without its removable hardtop fixed into position so he won’t have to deal with such a bizarre incident again.
