Back in 1999, nobody knew anything about Pagani, a recently-launched Italian supercar brand that wanted to compete with Ferrari and Lamborghini. After 20 years in business, though, the small company has managed to make a solid name for itself.

At the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the brand will celebrate its 20th anniversary. They’ll be doing it in style, by gathering approximately 30 Zonda and Huayra models to set a local attendance record for the marque.

Pagani cars and owners will come from as far as the United States., New Zealand and Hong Kong. The combined value of the supercars is estimated at more than £100 ($127 / €112)  million.

The convoy will drive from London to Goodwood on Thursday morning. Subsequently, 20 Zondas will then head up the famous Hill Climb at around 3 pm GMT (10 am EST), on the same day, one car for each year since the first Zonda came to life in 1999.

Moreover, five special Zondas will be on display, including the first one built, a 2005 Zonda F, 2009 Zonda Cinque, 2010 Zonda Tricolore and 2018 Zonda Roadster. The latter used to be the world’s most expensive new car at launch, selling for a whopping £15 ($19 / €16.8 million).

On Friday evening, a small group of clients and guests will be invited to an exclusive party, in the company of Horacio Pagani, not far from Goodwood.

Speaking about the anniversary celebrations, Pagani UK’s Dealer Principal, Christine Clarkin, said: “We were really delighted to be so involved with the Goodwood Festival of Speed once again in such a high-profile way, and I can’t wait to see 20 Paganis parading up the Goodwood Hill on Thursday afternoon, as one of the many amazing attractions at this world-leading, must-attend event.”

“I also can’t wait for what promises to be a very special and memorable 20th anniversary birthday party for our clients and friends on Friday evening. It will be great, and the icing on the cake of the truly excellent weekend at Goodwood”, she added.
