Pebble Beach Week kicks off on August 13th and culminates in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 18th. The event is right around the corner and it appears Pagani has something special up its sleeve.

While the company is staying tight-lipped, the automaker released a mysterious teaser image on Facebook and Instagram. It shows a car under a cover and was accompanied by #huayra and #roadsterbc hashtags. As a result, the model is likely the Huayra BC Roadster.

Little is known about the model, but the Huayra BC coupe was introduced in 2016. It featured a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 789 hp (588 kW / 800 PS) and 811 lb-ft (1,098 Nm) of torque. The engine was paired to a seven-speed Xtrac transmission which sent power to the rear wheels.

Besides the upgraded engine, the BC weighed 291 lbs (132 kg) less than the standard model. As part of this effort, the car was equipped with lightweight wheels, a titanium exhaust system and lighter Brembo brakes. The company also used a new composite material which was 50 percent lighter and 20 percent stronger than carbon fiber.

Speaking of the latter, the car had exposed carbon fiber bodywork and a more aggressive aerodynamics package which included an extended front splitter, canards and revised side skirts. The model also had a prominent rear wing and an aggressive rear diffuser.

Like the Huayra BC, the Huayra BC Roadster will likely be a limited edition. There’s no word on how many will be built or how much they’ll cost, but the company only made 20 Huayra BC coupes and they each had a price tag of €2.3 ($2.5 / £2.1) million.
