After collaborating in marketing and developing play sets since 2014, Porsche and Playmobil have taken their partnership to the next level, or to be precise, the big screen, in the ‘Playmobil – The Movie’, which has given a role to the Mission E Concept.
Directed by Lino DiSalvo, who is known for blockbusters such as ‘Frozen’, the animated film takes place in a fantasy world and sees secret agent Rex Dasher, whose voice is played by Daniel Radcliffe, drive the Mission E.

“Porsche was Playmobil’s first licensed product. Since then, we have brought out a carefully designed new set every year, each of which has been enthusiastically received by children, teenagers and their parents”, said Porsche’s chief of marketing, Kjell Gruner. “This successful cooperation will now be crowned by a movie.”
‘Playmobil – The Movie’ will screen at the Porsche Museum on August 10 and 11, at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, as part of the Porsche4Kids summer holiday program, aimed at children aged between 5 and 14, subsequent to its movie theater premiere in Germany, which takes place in Munich, on August 4. The movie will then run in cinemas across the country on August 29.
The automaker’s partnership with Playmobil has given birth to life a remote-controlled Porsche, which will be detailed in due course.
As one of the auto firm’s most important concept cars ever, the Mission E previewed the first electric Porsche, the Taycan, which will launch in September as a Tesla Model S fighter. The electric executive car is expected to be priced between a little over $90,000 and $150,000, depending on the grade, range and power level.
