Chevrolet will unveil the long-awaited C8 Corvette in just a couple of hours but three images showing the finished product have emerged online.
These images, shared across Instagram, depict the new Corvette in a bright shade of red and come shortly after an image of the mid-engined supercar’s interior surfaced. While it is hard to determine if the images are legitimate or if they are just low-resolution renderings, the car depicted looks virtually identical to what past renderings of the car have shown.
Unsurprisingly, the C8 Corvette has an exterior design radically different than all Corvettes to come before it. Up front, there are a pair of sharp headlights with LED daytime running lights. The bright red example pictured also includes a set of black wheels with black spokes and silver rims. Other black exterior accents include the front splitter, side skirts, side air intakes, and the rear wing.

Speaking of the rear wing, this vehicle features the intriguing design we’ve seen prototypes testing with on a number of occasions in recent months. Found directly below the wing are taillights similar to the Camaro, albeit sharper and more aggressive.
Beyond the vehicle’s design, we know that the C8 will be presented in entry-level Stingray guise. This model will be powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine pumping out between 480 hp and 500 hp. The car will be sold exclusively with a dual-clutch transmission sending power to the rear wheels.
Stay tuned to Carscoops in the come hours and days for more C8 Corvette news.
