This past weekend, Jaderric Freeman, a 21-year old Alabama resident, crashed his car into the Brakes-4-Less shop in Greenville, South Carolina, reportedly while under the influence of alcohol.
According to police authorities, the driver allegedly hit another vehicle before losing control of his own, crashing into the brake shop due to his inability to slow the car down. Freeman was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence, although additional charges could be thrown at him following an investigation.
The driver of the other car was reportedly injured and had to be taken to a medical facility. Thankfully his injuries were not life threatening, as reported by NTD. Meanwhile, an image released by the Greenville Police Department shows the extent of the damage sustained by the shop.

We can see that there’s glass all over the ground and that the storefront was basically obliterated. As for the cars that were already inside, a silver coupe seems to have been actually impacted by Freeman’s out-of-control car, while the black Audi SUV only took on minor damage, as far as we can tell.

Judging by the video’s timestamp, the incident took place in the late hours of the night – we don’t even want to think about what could have happened if it was daytime when the shop would have been full of employees and customers.
What’s still a little unclear is whether the man was unable to slow down due to his alleged alcohol-induced impairment, or rather because the brakes on the car weren’t functioning properly. If it’s the latter, well, there’s irony for you.
