Last week, Audi Sport announced the arrival of no less than six new RS models. Now, they made another Facebook post previewing what appears to be the 2020 RS6 Avant.
The Mercedes-AMG E63 S Estate rival will remain under wraps until the beginning of September, when it will be unveiled in Berlin, Germany, in front of members of the Audi Sport drivers club. It’s very likely that it will then be taken to the Frankfurt Motor Show, which kicks off on September 10 for the international media and two days later for the public.

As far as the styling is concerned, the dark picture gives us a hit at the design of the taillights, as well as the muscular rear fenders, small roof antenna and roof rails. However, spy shots have already revealed a more aggressive approach, with unique headlights, restyled front and rear bumpers, specific wheels, lower ground clearance and a few other nips and tucks, which will also continue in the cockpit.
According to the latest reports, the 2020 RS6 Avant will be powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8, with an output somewhere between 600 to 650 horsepower. Rumors also spoke about a possible hybrid version that could get the same running gear as the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. The same powertrain will, in turn, be shared with the RS7 Sportback, but we wouldn’t hold our breath for any of them.
