The fourth-generation BMW X5 has a strong presence on the road even in stock guise, but AC Schnitzer has managed to make it look even mightier.
The German aftermarket tuner has released special parts for the G05 BMW X5, including aerodynamic components, new wheels and tires, as well as suspension upgrades.
In terms of styling…err aerodymanics, customers can opt for a front spoiler compatible with vehicles equipped with an M aerodynamic package, and a roof wing that provides more downforce and visual flair. AC Schnitzer also offers bonnet vents for better ventilation of the engine compartment, sharper side skirts, and protective foils for the loading edge of the rear skirt. AC Schnitzer emblems for the rear doors can be specified as well.
The premium SUV rides on 22-inch AC Schnitzer wheels available in various designs and colors. The tires are generous in size as well, measuring up to 275/35 R22 at the front and 315/30 R22 at the rear. Available rim designs include AC1 Racing Forged Rims, AC1 Light Alloy Wheels, Type V Lightweight Forged Rims, and Type VIII Racing Forged Wheels.
The wheel/tire sets are approved in Germany with a wheel arch widener that will be available shortly. The parts widen the body by approximately 14 mm (0.55 inches) at the front and 26 mm (1 inch) at the rear on each side. Combined with the new wheel spacers that push the wheels 12 mm (0.47 inches) further out on each side, the wheel arch extensions contribute to a more menacing look for the new BMW X5.
AC Schnitzer says the wider track width also improves the lateral support of the chassis, thus increasing driving stability. About that, engineers have also developed a suspension spring set for models without air suspension. The set lowers the X5 by 20-25 mm (0.78-0.98 inches) compared to the standard vehicle at the front and rear, resulting in a lower center of gravity and therefore improved driving dynamics.

AC Schnitzer says it is also developing performance upgrades for the X5 M50i and the X5 xDrive30d. As for the interior, the treatment is subtle as usual and includes aluminum accessories pedals and footrest, key holder, and “Black Line” cover for the iDrive Controller.
