This year’s Frankfurt Motor Show will undoubtedly host a multitude of quick hatchbacks, including the world premiere of this Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC by Brabus, which can be configured in one of two different stages of tune.
First thing the German tuner will do to the car’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine is fit it with the PowerXtra B 35 tuning kit, which increases output by 44 PS (43 HP) and 44 lb-ft (60 Nm) of torque – the end result being 350 PS (345 HP) and 339 lb-ft (460 Nm), nearly 50 horses up on the stock A 35.
However, if you opt instead for the PowerXtra+ kit (B 35 S tuning), then you’ll enjoy a total of 365 PS (360 HP) to go with 359 lb-ft (486 Nm) of torque, which together with the car’s 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive system, can propel you to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds.
Other performance-oriented mods include the stainless sport exhaust system with integrated sound management, which can work either with the stock tailpipes or Brabus’ four optionally available stainless/carbon tips.
Visually, the car boasts a two-piece front spoiler, side air intake elements and a new rear wing that replaces the production spoiler, ensuring “an optimal aerodynamic balance and even more thrilling looks from the rear.”

Then there are the gloss black Brabus Monoblock T alloy wheels, which measure 8.5J x 19 front and back, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero 235/35 ZR 19 rubber.
As for the interior, it can be tailored precisely to the customer’s liking with regard to color and upholstery design.
The 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show will open its gates to the public on September 12th.
