MG has managed to secure 1,000 orders for the fully electric ZS SUV in the UK over two weeks, thanks to its attractive launch price offer of just £21,495 ($26,250 at current exchange rates).
The company’s offer was to match the UK government’s £3,500 plug-in car grant with a £3,500 grant of their own, as well as add a complimentary home charging unit for free for the first 1,000 customers of the ZS EV.
MG now says that the £21,495 launch price offer will continue for the next 1,000 buyers, but will not include the free home charger.

The ZS EV is powered by an electric motor with 141 HP (143 PS) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque mounted on the front. A water-cooled 44.5kWh battery pack renders the electric crossover capable of traveling up to 163 miles (242 km/h) on a single charge per the WLTP standards. In addition, it is compatible with rapid chargers, which means it car charge its battery from zero to 80 percent in about 30 minutes.
Standard equipment is generous and includes 17-inch alloy wheels, an eight-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and DAB radio, as well as the MG Pilot driver assistance suite that includes Advanced Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.
