It has been almost two years since the Tesla Semi was unveiled, yet it has still yet to hit the production line, let alone reach the hands of customers. Nevertheless, Vanlifer has decided to imagine what it could look like if it was converted into a motorhome.
In order to create the Tesla motorhome, the front end and underpinnings of the Semi have been left untouched. Consequently, the only changes which have been made are found behind the vehicle’s cabin, and they’re certainly quite comprehensive.
Directly behind the cabin of the sits a seating area, which can also be folded out into a double bed when needed, and a kitchen. In addition, it features a small bathroom and a shower and, at the rear, a double bed. Last, but not least, there is a another double bed, directly above the cabin, meaning such a motorhome could sleep up to six in relative comfort.

Back in June, Elon Musk revealed that production of the company’s Semi truck had been pushed back until late 2020. Tesla initially wanted to start building it this year, but that goal proved to be overly ambitious. According to the company, this is because it is matching the product rollout of new models according to the scaling of battery production. Tesla isn’t currently making enough batteries to produce the Semi, hence the delay.
When the Semi does eventually arrive, the range-topping version should have about 500 miles (804 km) of range and cost about $180,000.
