A 2017 Ford GT with a vibrant paint scheme has come up for sale from Elite Motors in Arkansas. The paint, though, is far from its most impressive feature.
The car, first reported by Jalopnik, was listed online shortly after the contract restricting its sale for the first two years of ownership had expired. It is the only one in a special order color dubbed Atlas Green that was a $30,000 option. That may not be quite as expensive as this GT’s paint $100k scheme, but it’s certainly not chump change.

A custom paint job wasn’t the only option box the original purchaser ticked, as Ford’s supercar also sports the exterior package, gloss carbon fiber wheels, silver brake calipers, an interior upgrade package, titanium lug nuts, indoor car cover and racing seat belts. The Atlas Green paintwork has also been covered in a paint protection film.
Then, there’s the price. At the time of writing, this particular GT had an asking price of $1,299,980. The original sticker Ford put on it was around $450,000, and this car probably cost its owner between $500,000 and $550,000 with all the options. That means the asking price is roughly 2.5 times the original purchase price of the car, a truly absurd amount of money when you consider that a used Porsche 918 Spyder can be purchased for just a little bit more in the U.S.
Nevertheless, a car is only worth what people are willing to pay for it, and if this GT does indeed fetch $1.3 million, we guess it shows just how valuable and desirable it has become.
