The facelifted Mitsubishi ASX has reached UK shores with a base price of £20,295 (approximately $25k) OTR.
The price refers to the base Dynamic trim level with a five-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. On the outside, the ASX Dynamic comes equipped as standard with 18-inch alloys, full-LED headlights with auto leveling, LED DRLs, and halogen fog lights.
In the cabin, the entry-level 2020 ASX gets new fabric upholstery with heated front seats, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, reversing camera, and Keyless Operation System with engine start/stop. It also gains the new eight-inch touchscreen Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) infotainment system with DAB, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.

Next up is the Exceed which, with the same transmission and front-wheel drive, starts at £23,095 ($28,475). This trim adds a panoramic glass roof, black roof rails, chrome exterior door handles, LED front fog lights, leather upholstery with electric driver’s seat, TomTom navigation system, as well as Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Unlike the Dynamic, this grade can also be had with all-wheel drive and a CVT that has a six-speed “Sports” mode and paddle shifters, for £25,945 ($31,980).
All versions are powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter MIVEC petrol four which delivers 150 PS (148 hp) and 195 Nm (144 lb-ft) of torque. According to Mitsubishi, the new engine offers better performance and increased refinement compared to the outgoing 115 PS (113 hp) 1.6-liter unit.
Besides the refreshed exterior styling, other updates on all 2020 ASX models include two new exterior colors (Red Diamond and Oak Brown), new seat fabrics for the Dynamic, as well as new leather trim, black headliner, and piano black and silver accents on the Exceed.
