BMW has unveiled two special editions of the i3 and i8 limited to 1,200 units worldwide.
First we have the i3s Edition RoadStyle. BMW plans on building just under 1,000 units of this model that’s characterized by Fluid Black exterior paint with E-Copper accents across the exterior, making for an eye-catching look and ensuring the model stands out from the regular i3s. Other custom exterior touches include 20-inch double-spoke light-alloy i wheels finished in Jet Black.
As for the cabin, it too receives some special touches include Dalbergia Brown leather with Dark Oak matte wood trim and headrests with ‘Edition RoadStyle’ embroidery. Mechanically, there are no changes, meaning it still uses an eDrive motor with 181 HP and 199 lb-ft of torque paired to a 42.2 kWh battery pack.

As for the special i8, BMW says it is “the final chapter” in the i8 series, indicating the hybrid sports car won’t be around much longer. It is painted Sophisto Grey with E-Copper accents and comes with distinctive 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss black brake calipers and various blue details. Inside, there is an interior badge denoting the car as being ‘1 of 200’ and door sill plates with an ‘Ultimate Sophisto Edition’ inscription.
The i8 Ultimate Sophisto Edition is available in both Coupe and Convertible forms. Both retain the standard 369 HP hybrid powertrain, which allows them to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds.
