Hyundai is offering United States customers the chance to test drive one of their models and receive a $50 reward card for it.
The ‘Hyundai National Test Driver Offer’ simply requires interested parties to head over to the Hyundai USA website and click on the blue banner on the far left side of the homepage. Then, all you have to do is fill out your details and select whether you’d like a Visa, Amazon, or Target gift card.

There is a slight catch, however: those signing up need to tick a box to consent to “receiving telemarketing calls or texts” on behalf of Hyundai and its authorized dealers. That could be a little bit of a pain but, hey, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
In any case, it’s not that unusual in the States for car manufacturers and dealerships to offer small financial rewards to people in order to get them into their cars for a test drive. Even if a small percentage is convinced, it’s a win-win strategy for the company.
A look on Reddit reveals that many people have been cashing in on the incentive and walking in to Hyundai dealerships, arranging test drives and walking away with $50 gift cards. Some state they didn’t even need to drive a car to get the $50. However, one Hyundai dealership worker says that if people stroll into the dealer he works at and simply ask for the reward card, they will be turned away.
